This course is for an absolute beginners.

Go to Meta Events Manager and select Data sources from the top menu. If the status is Active, your pixel has been installed correctly. It may take up to 20 minutes for your pixel status to change after installing it.

To troubleshoot or check your setup use the Test Events tool in Events Manager. You can also download the Pixel Helper Chrome browser extension for basic troubleshooting.

Install Event Code
Event code lets your organization track specific actions and leverage them in advertising. You must install event code on specific pages of your website where the actions will happen.
You can use the 9 actions that Facebook pre-defines to track and optimize ads for conversions. To measure and optimize for more granular actions, you can add parameters to your events by using recommended or advanced installation options for your event tags. You can also create custom events for actions important to your business that you define. There are three implementation settings: basic, recommended, and advanced.
